About Sarah

My name is Sarah Scritch and I am a Los Angeles based ADHD, Bipolar II, highly sarcastic artist. After being silenced for 29 years by my mental illnesses, I have finally found my voice. I hope Write Your Way  can be a source of comfort, hope and inspiration for visitors.

I knew I was different by the time I was 6 or 7. When I hit high school I could tell if I was going to have a good or bad if I got up knowing which song I wanted to listen to on the way to school. Listening to music and creativity have always been my only solace.

I constantly have song lyrics running through my head as a make shift life raft from my kamikaze brain. So needless to say, a majority of my creative inspiration comes from song lyrics.

We all have our battles to fight, mine just happens to be ADHD and Bipolar II. I spent every exhausting day acting like everything was fine, knowing every single night I would wage war with my brain until I could fall asleep at 4am or 5am. This inspired a very early adaptation of my life motto:

Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. - Plato
